Fr Dimitri Oselinsky will be here the weekend of August 14/15 for Divine Services. The 15th is the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos. Great Vespers is Saturday evening at 6pm, and Divine Liturgy is Sunday at 10AM. Fr Dimitri has requested that everyone bring flowers to be blessed at the conclusion of Liturgy on Sunday.

A good number of St John mission folks went to Atlanta April 17 for the 10th Annual 5k run/walk for the IOCC. Although we took our time and came in last, we had a great time, and enjoyed the fellowship and getting to know each other better. We look forward to doing it again next year!

Maximus James Shepherd, the second child of Subdeacon Michael and Emilia Shepherd, was born on 8 April, weighing 8 lbs and 18 inches long. Both mother and child are doing well, and we hope to have pictures soon! Many years!

As you may have heard the 10th Annual IOCC 5K IOCC Run/ Walk is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, April 17th, 2010. Local IOCC supporters are hoping to exceed previous participation in this fun pan-Orthodox event.

Right now the IOCC Board of Directors is matching all donations until March, 15th, 2010. This means if you make a $100.00 donation it will be matched dollar-for-dollar and will be worth $200.00 of humanitarian aid. Please consider making a donation and/or registering for the Run/Walk.
